Forskning 

 

Hjerteseksjonen ved SSA driver omfattende klinisk forskning. Hovedmålet med vår forskning er å øke kunnskapen om hjertesykdommer, for å forbedre forebygging, diagnostikk og behandling. Forskningen skjer i nært samarbeid med Oslo Universitetssykehus Rikshospitalet og Universitetet i Oslo. Vi har omfattende forskning innen bruk av avansert hjerteultralyd (ekkokardiografi) hos pasienter med hjerteinfarkt og kransåresykdom.  Vi har også en stor behandlingsstudie som vurderer effekten av å redusere risikofaktorer hos personer med hjertesykdom. I tillegg deltar vi i flere studier som ser på nytten av nye hjertemedisiner.

 

Hjerteseksjonen har tre leger med medisinsk doktorgrad og to doktorgradsstipendiater. Vi har de siste årene publisert en rekke viktige artikler i internasjonale fagtidsskrifter og hatt mange presentasjoner på internasjonale hjertekongresser.
